All Marlboro and Colts Neck Schools Closed until Monday, Nov. 12

This includes high schools, middle schools and elementary schools.

The Freehold Regional High School District, Colts Neck K-8 and Marlboro K-8 districts all came to the conclusion on Tuesday afternoon that opening was not yet possible.

FRHSD posted the closure announcement on its website slightly before 3 p.m. on Tuesday, citing the continued outages and ongoing safety concerns as its reasons for closing. On Monday, an update from the district explained that Freehold Township High School and Manalapan High School still did not have power.

The Marlboro K-8 District plans to reopen on Nov. 12, but parent-teacher conferences originally scheduled have now been canceled and students will have full day sessions all week.

The Colts Neck K-8 District also plans to reopen on Nov. 12, and is currently waiting for all schools to have power restored.
