Colts Neck Nails Down Changes to School Year Calendar After Hurricane Sandy

Parent-Teacher conferences are moved to February, dates and times will be announced at a later date.

 

The Colts Neck Board of Education approved changes to the 2012-13 calendar on Tuesday night at its meeting, according to Superintendent Fred Oberkehr.

Parent-teacher conferences originally scheduled for this week have been moved to February. Dates and times are to be announced at a later date.

The following changes have been made:

  • 11/16 - Full day session
  • 11/19 - Full day session
  • 1/21 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) - Full day session
  • 2/15 (President's Day) - Full day session
  • 2/18 (President's Day) - Full day session
  • 4/1 (Spring recess) - Full day session

The first marking period, scheduled to end Nov. 16 will now end Nov. 26. Report cards will be distributed on Dec. 5.

Colts Neck K-8 students missed two weeks of school due to power outage situations and dangerous roads caused by Hurricane Irene and a November nor'easter.
