Manalapan, Marlboro Men Arrested for Alleged Involvement in Gas Station Robbery
Two men were arrested for their alleged involvement in a July 30 robbery of a Manalapan gas station.
Manalapan Police arrested two men this week, one from Manalapan and one from Marlboro, for their alleged involvement in the robbery of a Gulf Service Station attendendant on July 30.
Detective Leonard Maltese signed criminal complaints Tuesday, Sept. 18 against two men in reference to their involvement in the robbery: Nicholas Demo, 19, of Marlboro, and Joseph Dolce, 21, of Manalapan, according to the Manalapan Police Department.
The attendant of the Gulf Service Station, located at the intersection of Route 9 and Ryan Road in Manalapan, told police that he was robbed of $25 on July 30 while he was closing the gas station for the night.
An investigation after the robbery led to the arrest on Tuesday, according to Manalapan Police Capt. Michael Fountain.
Both Demo and Dolce are currently lodged in Middlesex County Correctional Institute in reference to similar complaints stemming out of that county. The bail on the complaint out of Manalapan is set at $120,000 each, with no 10 percent option.
A third individual involved in the robbery has also been identified as a 16-year-old Manahawkin juvenile. The juvenile complaints are currently being reviewed by the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office Juvenile Central Charging, police said.
