Marlboro School Budget Presentation on April 4 in Town Hall

The administration will make presentations through through March and once in April.

The Marlboro K-8 school district administration is planning a month-long tour of budget talks within the township.

Residents will have the opportunity to ask budget questions at upcoming, regularly scheduled board meetings as well as specially scheduled community meetings.

Presentations will be made by Superintendent Dr. David Abbott and members of the administration.

Hmmm, I wonder if this budget calls for a public vote this November, for a possible tax increase, to support extending armed police officers beyond the 90 period?

Remember BOE (I know you read this guys): NO MORE TAXES!!!! From what I see Dean and Lilonsky are up for re-election---We are watching ;)

Even if there isn't a tax increase greater than 2%, look for a referendum to cover all the other ridiculous things we've read about that they might look to do in the spirit of "protecting our children" and playing on that theme to get it passed. I'm all for protecting the children, but within reason, not by knee-jerk reaction as always seems to be the case.

Wouldn't a yes vote on a referendum translate into higher taxes? The referendum indicates more money is being spent on armed officers beyond the 90 day trial period. This is simply unsustainable in these times.

Please remember that they voted to take away your right to vote on the budget on Aug 21, 2012 as long as it is under the 2% cap. Extra security (police officers or or other measures) would need to be on the referendum b/c they would definitively exceed the 2% cap.
