Andrew Hegt, 35 of Morganville Dies Suddenly

Hegt was a partner in the LaRocca, Hornik, Rosen, Greenberg, and Blaha law firm.

Andrew Hegt, 35, of Morganville, passed away suddenly and unexpectedly Thursday, June 14.

Born in Brooklyn, NY, Andrew had grown up in Marlboro before moving to Freehold and then to Morganville 5 years ago. He was a partner at the law firm of LaRocca, Hornik, Rosen, Greenberg, & Blaha PC, Freehold, NJ.

Andrew was an amazing husband to his wife, an incredible, devoted father to his children, a wonderful son to his mother, an incredible brother, and a loyal friend to all he knew. Andrew had a tremendous sense of humor, and a quick wit that was unmatched. He was completely devoted to his family and friends, and was always the person to call when you needed anything. He was one of those people that if you met him once, you would remember him forever.

He adored his wife and children more than anything in the world. An avid fan of both the NY Yankees and New York Giants, he grew up an athlete, eventually becoming a star soccer player in high school. He went on to play soccer for, and graduate from Monmouth University. He then graduated from New York Law School and went on to become a very well respected attorney. He was named a partner at his law firm early this year. He will be deeply missed by his children, wife, family, friends, and all who knew him.

He was predeceased by his father, Jay Hegt, in 2000. Surviving are his loving wife, Deidre Hegt, his son Jayden; his newborn twins, son Alexander, and daughter Kendall; his mother Rhoda Hegt of Marlboro; and his brother and sister-in-law Matthew and Tara Hegt and their daughter Jana, of Manalapan; his mother-in-law and father -in-law Patricia and Joseph Kelich of Manalapan; his brother-in-law and his fiancée Jason Lisi and Diana Anastasio of Staten Island, NY.

Services will be held on Monday, June 18 at 11 a.m. in , 44 Wilson Ave Route 527 N, Manalapan, NJ 07726.

Interment will follow immediately after at Marlboro Memorial Cemetery, 361 Highway 79, Morganville, NJ 07751. The family will be sitting shiva on Monday afternoon, immediately following the service as well as all day Tuesday and Wednesday at their residence.
