Outages Down to Hundreds as Snow Settles on Marlboro and Colts Neck
JCP&L trucks are still on the roads in some areas.
The snow is upon Monmouth County, and some residents are still without power.

The snow is upon Monmouth County, and some residents are still without power.
Trucks are still working in both Marlboro and Colts Neck to restore power, and as the roads get more dangerous residents are urged to stay off the roads if possible.
Mayor Jon Hornik said trucks were out around 4 p.m. to salt major roads in Marlboro Township.
As of 5 p.m. on Wednesday night, just over 100 Marlboro residents are reportedly without power and 299 in Colts Neck.
The Marlboro Township Recreation Center is still open for residents looking for warmth and shelter.

Please. It's disgusting. We still don't have power or water. The sad fact that we pay nearly the highest taxes in the country in Marlboro isn't bad enough, but to also receive the worst, slowest, and most inconsistent service from Marlboro and from JCP&L is intolerable. The unnecessary suffering in this town due to inadequate planning/preparedness and action is dangerous and pathetic.

I had no phone service (landline), or power during "Sandy" for about 3 days, thankfully we had a generator and cell phone service. My neighbors had no cable, we had television due to having Directv. Thankfully the satellite dish did not blow off the roof! The gasoline generator was a Godsend during Sandy, we had it in the yard in a special shed with extension cords going through the garage. During "Irene" we had it in the garage and our CO2 detector went off, this time we put in outside in a special shed. It worked well. The thing used a lot of gasoline though and there were gas shortages.......
