Mother Nature most have understood the importance of Marlboro Day. Clear skies and perfect temperatures welcomed thousands of residents to the Marlboro Municipal Complex for food, rides and vendors from all over.

Many of you came to ask me about story ideas, whether it was for your charity or a great local accomplishment. Here is how you can post on Patch:

Becoming a Patch user

Very simple! Choose your username and write it in the "full name" section on our sign up sheet. This is also where you sign up for the newsletter, which includes breaking news alerts. To sign up, visit marlboro.patch.com and look on the corner right hand of the screen, there will be a "sign in" button. From this little box, there will be a "join" link.

Blogging on Patch

Blogging on Patch is more simple than it ever has been. There is no need for an editor to approve your application, you can begin blogging right away! Visit the Patch website, find our Local Voices section on the front page and click the "Want to blog on Patch?" button. Then, just start writing! Your post comes to me for approval, which really just means I approve that it complies with our Terms of Use and I do one last spell check.

Posting Announcements on Patch
Our Announcements section is free and easy to use. This tool is a perfect way to share that with the community. All you have to do is go to marlboro.patch.com, scroll the mouse over the word news, click announcements, click "Add an Announcement" on the top right and fill out the form and submit. You can even add photos to these announcements if you like, making them more likely to be featured on the front page. (Must be logged-in as a free Patch user to submit this information).

Event Listings
This is a great way to publicize events and happenings in Marlboro and Colts Neck. Our calendar is a community resource built by members in Marlboro and Colts Neck. To add an event to our calendar, all you have to do is go to marlboro.patch.com, click on the word "Events" in the navigation bar, click "Add an Event" on the top right and fill out the form and submit. With this form, you are also encouraged to upload photos or PDF files advertising the event. (Must be logged-in as a free Patch user to submit this information).
