Route 9 Corridor Restored in Marlboro
JCP&L is sticking to the 7 to 10 day restoration timeline for the rest of the township.
The good news is, as of Thursday night Costco has gasoline and the line at White Castle has restored to the normal mob scene.
The bad news is, JCP&L is sticking to the 7 to 10 day restoration timeline for the rest of the township.
Mayor Jon Hornik said on his Facebook page that power was restored to the corridor in order to restore power to grocery stores, supply stores and gas stations.
Patch will update later today with a solid JCP&L estimation for Marlboro Township restoration.
We'll be updating on Patch, Facebook and Twitter.

I went to Costco last night. Taking only American Express. Line moved okay. They said they will continue to sell gas until they run out. Separate lines for gas containers. Cosmo.

why 7 to 10 days for the rest of the township? I pay so much taxes for nothing. It is better for me to get out of this miserable corrupted state!

Goga--it isn't about taxes, the electric infrastructure is not the township's, it is JCP&L's. While JCP&L had less customers initially effected than others in the northern part of the state, the devastation in our surrounding areas is much, much more significant.

Fox News reported and interviewed linemen who went home after they were asked to join a union and did not want to. I sure hope that kind of thing isnt slowing things down.

"New Jersey Gov. Chris Christie said the Alabama crew got “bad information” and non-union crews are welcomed in the recovery effort."
"Decatur Utilities, based in Decatur, Ala., denied the report as well"
Looks like it was just a misunderstanding compounded by lack of cell phone service/communication and news stations jumping to judgement.
