Thursday: Marlboro Public Hearing on Hiring More Special Officers

The Town Council is meeting at 7 p.m. in Marlboro Town Hall.

 

The Marlboro Town Council is meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.

A public hearing on the hiring of 12 special officers for use in the school system for a 90-day security trial period is first on the agenda.

The Town Council will also approve a special meeting on Feb. 12 for a township budget discussion at 5 p.m.

Citizen's Voice will be at the beginning of the meeting, each citizen must sign up right before the meeting and has 5 minutes to speak.

Wish I could attend, but here's my comment. We were told that the initial plan of an officer in each school (being paid for by the BOE from the general fund we already contribute to) would be in place and reviewed as to the effectiveness. We do not need this additional expense at this time unless the mayor and council want to pay it out of their own pockets. Stick with what we were told at the beginning before jumping any further with this.
