"The Marlboro Township K-8 Board of Education is comprised of nine elected members, three of whom are elected every year for a three-year term. Regular public meetings of the Marlboro Township Board of Education are generally held on the third Tuesday of every month at 8 p.m. in the administration building, 1980 Township Drive, Marlboro. In addition, there are workshop meetings scheduled throughout the year. The community is encouraged to attend board meetings and is invited to participate during the public sessions."

More About Asher Holmes Elementary School
When Asher Holmes Elementary opened in 1973, it was named Robertsville II. However, the students held a contest to rename the school in order to distinguish themselves from Robertsville Elementary. Asher Holmes was a colonel in the Revolutionary War who protected supply troops during the Battle of Monmouth. The school's mascot is a colt, a symbol for the students who will one day become Marlboro Mustangs.
