Morganville Volunteer Fire Company #1 is holding an open house on Sunday from 12:30 to 3 p.m. for anyone interested in joining the department as a volunteer or is curious about the day-to-day of the fire company.
The department has been serving the community for 100 years, and is entirely volunteer. They are actively looking for new firefighters, 17 years or older.

You will get a chance to try some of the equipment like the Thermal Imaging Camera, try on the Turn Out Gear (PPE) and the Breathing Apparatus (SCBA). If the weather is favorable you may even get a chance to use a fire hose or go up in our 95 foot tower ladder. You can ask questions about training and response times. There will be refreshments, of course.

The Morganville Volunteer Department, along with Morganville Independent, is in District 3 for Marlboro. The department is all-volunteer, and handles emergency fire calls and non-emergency medical calls, car accidents, fuel leaks, specialized incidents and rescues.
