Good morning Marlboro and Colts Neck!

You’re right, it’s a lot colder today then yesterday. In fact, it’s so cold that the National Weather Service has issued a wind chill advisory from 1 a.m. to 6 a.m. Wind chills cold be below 15 degrees, with temps only reaching 15 today, according to weather.com.

The Colts Neck Historic Preservation board meets Tuesday, Jan. 7, at 5:30 p.m. in the Colts Neck Town Hall.

Did you know that on this day in 1789, America's first presidential election was held? According to history.com, voters cast ballots to choose state electors; only white men who owned property were allowed to vote. As expected, George Washington won the election and was sworn into office on April 30, 1789.
