Marlboro Police Warn of a Fake Award Scam

Award Scam
Marlboro Police are warning residents of a phone scam called the "Marlboro Award Program," in which local businesses have been called letting them know they won what is essentially a fake award.
Businesses are then asked to buy placards to hang in their storefronts. Marlboro Township did not send any mailings/emails or request for monies in regards to a Award Program for businesses.
Operation Take Back
In an effort to rid medicine cabinets of unwanted or unused prescription drugs, and the are partnering with Monmouth County for Operation Take Back medicine disposal day.

Operation Take Back
In an effort to rid medicine cabinets of unwanted or unused prescription drugs, and the are partnering with Monmouth County for Operation Take Back medicine disposal day.
In Marlboro on Oct. 26, anyone can drop off prescription medication to a drop-off at the Marlboro Swim Club office on Wyncrest Road between 10 a.m. and 2 p.m. or at any time in the lobby of the Marlboro Police Department.
In Colts Neck on April 28, anyone can drop off their unwanted or expired medication at from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at the Colts Neck Courthouse.
Accepted items:

- unused and expired prescription medications
- prescription cough syrup, sealed
- prescription eye and ear drips
- unused and expired over the counter medications
Unacceptable items:
- hypodermic needles
- medical waste
- mercury thermometers
- illegal drugs or paraphernalia
Please remove the prescription label on the original prescription container if it contains any personal identifying information. The collection is anonymous, no identification is required.
