This Day in History

Today’s debate about the Baseball Hall of Fame centers largely around players who may or may not have used performance enhjancing drugs. But on Jan. 29, 1936, the U.S. Baseball Hall of Fame elected its first members to Cooperstown—Ty Cobb, Babe Ruth, Honus Wagner, Christy Matthewson and Walter Johnson, according to History.com.
