State of Emergency, No School, New Council President

Good morning Marlboro and Colts Neck!

It’s a cold one today. According to weather.com, it’s about 16 degrees, but unfortunately, it feels like -1. And expect the snow to continue until at least noon. There’s also a winter storm alert until 1 p.m. today.

In addition, Gov. Chris Christie has declared a state of emergency today, which means all state offices will also be closed for non-essential employees on Friday.

That means, of course, that schools are closed in Marlboro and Colts Neck.

During last night’s Marlboro re-organization meeting, Councilman Scott Metzger was selected to be serve as the 2014 council president and Councilwoman Carol Mazzola was selected to be vice president.
