(VIDEO): Marlboro Digs Out After Winter Storm

After a winter storm dumped about a foot of snow, kids who had the day off from school packed up their saucers and sleighs and went out for some much needed winter fun.

On Wednesday, the hill in front of Marlboro Middle School was just one of several places in the area that was dotted with sleigh riders.

Mayor Jon Hornik said he is pleased with how the township clean up and response went.

“Our Department of Public Works and police department did an excellent job,” said Mayor Hornik. “These storms are like battles, and you have to keep fighting as it comes down.”

He said that he personally inspected many of the roads on Wednesday morning to see how the clean up was going.

“I was out early (Wednesday) checking neighborhoods, and I was pleased with what I saw. There wasn’t a neighborhood that wasn’t plowed at least once, and some twice.”
