Colts Neck Stabbing Suspect Sketch Released

Police released a sketch of the suspect in a Colts Neck stabbing incident.

Police are turning to the public for help finding the Bray Street stabber, after a woman was injured last weekend in her own home.

A 41-year-old woman was stabbed in her own home after an alleged hitchhiker forced his way in at 12:30 a.m. to steal the keys to her car.

As of Friday, the Monmouth County Prosecutor's Office said the victim's condition has improved. Earlier in the week, she was described as in stable but critical condition.

The victim's car was recovered 40 minutes after the incident in the Strathmore section of Aberdeen, but the suspect has yet to be found. Police are asking area residents to be on the look out for a younger man with a long face and blonde hair, according to the composite drawing.

According to Colts Neck Police in an original release to residents, the suspect is a white male, early 20’s, skinny, dirty blonde hair, yellow shirt, back pack, last seen in Aberdeen area.

Anyone who recognizes, believes they recognize the man in the sketch or has any information about this case is asked to call Detective Andrea Tozzi, of the Monmouth County Prosecutor’s Office at 1-800-533-7443, or Detective Richard Zarrillo, of the Colts Neck Police Department at 732-462-4343.
