Walgreens Is Open In Marlboro Township
By next year, the site will be home to Whole Foods and several other retail businesses.
Walgreens is now open in Marlboro Township, the first store in the new Marlboro Commons to open its doors.
By next year, the site will be home to Whole Foods and several other retail businesses. In July, Whole Foods representatives said their store will open on the property in 2014.
A groundbreaking ceremony on the property occurred with township officials and the property manager more than a year ago. Developer Robert Pagano announced then that the shopping center would be complete "this time next year," referring to summer 2013.
Roadwork surrounding what will be the new center is complete and included the widening by one lane of Route 520 from Route 9 South.
Whole Foods will be located in the middle of the development.
