Everyone was very nice until it came time for the 'big' work to be done. They got me in the chair and tried to force me to sign a form saying I was responsible for a co-payment. I know my insurance and told them that I was not responsible. They kept insisting that I was and that I should sign the form. I called my union representative while I was sitting in the chair and had the dental office speak to them to explain that I do not have a co-payment. After getting off the phone with my union representative, the dental office told me 'well just pay half'. Why on earth should I pay half when I have no co-payment??? I walked out without having the work done, until they got the insurance situation figured out. I find out that after I left, the dental office called the insurance company and removed themselves from the insurance!!
This office went from calling me every other day to come in to have work done to not calling me at all after this incident. I finally called them back a couple of weeks later and they claimed they were 'confused' by the insurance. Give me a break, this is your business and you do this every day. You are not confused, you tried to hustle me.
