In Marlboro

The Historic Commission is meeting tonight at 7 p.m. in Town Hall.

Students at Shalom Torah Academy have started a collection to benefit the Monmouth Ocean Food Bank and victims of Super Storm Sandy. Donations can be Nonperishable Food, Cleaning products (including mops, brooms, bleach, soap) Personal Hygiene (soap, deodorant, shampoo, razors), Baby Products (Diapers, bottles, formula, baby food).

The Planning Board is having a technical meeting on Tuesday at 8:30 a.m. in Town Hall.

The Recreation Commission is meeting on Tuesday at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall.

The Marlboro Township Menorah Lighting is on Wednesday at 4:30 p.m. at the Robertsville Fire Department.

In Colts Neck

The Farmland and Open Space Committee is meeting tonight at 7:30 p.m. in Town Hall.

The Planning Board is meeting on Tuesday at 8 p.m. in Town Hall.

Join the Colts Neck Library for a Live Nutcracker Ballet Performance on Wednesday at 4 p.m. Young dancers from the Performing Arts Ensemble of Red Bank will present excerpts from this favorite holiday ballet. All ages welcome.

Plan Your Weekend

The Jingle Bell 5k Walk for Sandy will be held at Colts Neck High School on Dec. 15 proceeds will be donated to those directly affected by Hurricane Sandy in Monmouth County. Pre-registration is $20, and day-of registration is $25. Additional donations will be accepted.

If you are not already a bone marrow donor, please come to the Robertsville Fire Department for a Bone Marrow Drive for young Marlboro resident Sean Goff on Saturday at 10 a.m.  Keith Goff, a Robertsville Firefighter in Marlboro Township, is asking for help from the community after his son was diagnosed with a life-threatening disease. Sean, 2 year-old of Marlboro Township, was recently diagnosed with Aplastic Anemia and needs a bone marrow transplant to save his life.
