10. Marlboro Lawyer Sentenced After $2.6M Home Loan Fraud. Mark J. Bellotti, 56 of Marlboro was sentenced to five years in prison and a $50,000 fine after he was found guilty of obtaining $2.6 million of fraudulent home loans. Bellotti plead guilty in February of filing false mortgage loan applications, according to a State Attorney General news release.

9. Two Indicted for Allegedly Burglarizing Marlboro Doctor's Office. Thomas Aiello, 22 of Parlin and Dominick Tardo, 20 of Brooklyn were indicted in a Monmouth County Court on Wednesday after being arrested in May for allegedly stealing prescription pads from a Marlboro doctor. 

8. Rising Burglary Numbers Have Marlboro Residents On Edge. Marlboro Police statistics show 87 burglaries of cars, homes and businesses since the beginning of 2012. Police Captain Steve Mennona said this year's numbers are "on track" with previous years.

7. . Manalapan Detective Leonard Maltese signed criminal complaints Tuesday, Sept. 18 against two men in reference to their involvement in the robbery: Nicholas Demo, 19, of Marlboro, and Joseph Dolce, 21, of Manalapan for the alleged robbery of a Manalapan gas station.

6. Marlboro Man Arrested for Alleged Sexual Assault of Minors. Ronald Pauley, 64 of Marlboro was arrested and charged Thursday after he allegedly sexually assaulted and filmed two minors in several rooms of his home, including the bathroom.

A county arrest record indicated Pauley allegedly sexually assaulted one minor under the age of 12. He is also accused of placing Flip cameras in his bathroom and other rooms in his homes in order to watch the minor and another teenage victim. According to the report, the victims were unaware of the cameras.

5. Marlboro Man Charged with Allegedly Attempting to Break Into Mostel Court Home. A Marlboro man was charged with allegedly attempting to burglarize a Mostel Court home on Wednesday, according to police. Police say William Blum, 45, of Rockwell Circle was found in possession of a pry tool and pliers after he allegedly attempted to enter a Marlboro home through a basement window.

4. . There was an attempted armed robbery at Maio's Medicine Chest on Union Hill Road in Manalapan according to police. The suspect, described by police as a white male in his 20s, provided the pharmacy attendant with a written note demanding all of the "oxy" in the store, Manalapan Police Captain Michael Fountain said. No oxycodone was supplied to the perpetrator, according to Fountain. No arrests have been made.

3. Cliffwood Beach Man Dies After Route 34 Head-On Collision in Marlboro. A head-on collision on Route 34 in Marlboro claimed the life of Michael Myers, 29 of Cliffwood Beach, according to Marlboro Police Captain Steve Mennona. Myers was pronounced dead on the scene. Police said the collision, between a Honda Accord and a Buick LeSabre, also resulted in serious injuries to another driver who was in critical condition at Robertwood Johnson Hospital.

2. . Wendy Berk of Morganville said it is devastating enough to have your home burglarized, but it hurt her more that thieves took items near and dear to her heart. 

Berk said she lost her husband, and on Sept. 7 burglars broke into her Eisenhower Circle home in Morganville and removed items that not only belonged to him but had sentimental value to both Berk and her daughter Mikayla.

1. .  Police have confirmed that a head-on collision on Route 34 resulted in one fatality. The accident happened near Reids Hill Road, in Marlboro Township. 

Marlboro and Holmdel Police closed the roadway going both directions in the area, and detours were set up by the Department of Transportation to divert traffic away from the scene of the crash. The road was opened at 1:45 a.m.
