Score for the Shore Charity Flag Football Tournament

On Dec. 1, East Coast Conditioning will hold an 18-year-old and over 7-on-7 charity flag football tournament at Marlboro High School in Marlboro, NJ.

Every team will be guaranteed 3 games, then qualifying teams will move into a single elimination playoff. Teams entering this tournament will be asked to make a donation in order to benefit victims of Hurricane Sandy and the rebuilding of our shore.

In the wake of Hurricane Sandy, we now understand the devastation and damage that it has caused. Rebuilding our shore will not be an easy task. As a result, all proceeds from this tournament will be donated to Architecture for Humanity and the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief fund.

Architecture for Humanity spent years in New Orleans helping rebuild after Hurricane Katrina and now is doing their best to help rebuild our shore. Architecture for Humanity specifically has two funds already set up to assist in the rebuilding process in their “Hurricane Sandy Reconstruction Fund” and their “Restore the Shore Fund.” For more information on Architecture for Humanity please visit www.architectureforhumanity.org.

Additionally, the Hurricane Sandy New Jersey Relief Fund was set up by First Lady Mary Pat Christie in order to help aid New Jersey residents and rebuild all of the homes that were tragically lost. For more information on this charity you can visit https://sandynjrelieffund.org/index.html.

This tournament will begin on Saturday Dec. 1 with registration at 7:30 a.m. and kick off at 8 a.m. Teams will consist of a minimum of 10 players with a maximum of 15.

Each team will also be asked to make a $300 donation that will be donated to the charities mentioned above.

Representatives from both charities will be in attendance to accept the donations. There will commemorative “Score for the Shore” t-shirts for all participants, prizes for the winning team, as well as a fully operational concession stand for players and spectators.
