Mountain Bike Race Returns to Tatum Park Saturday

Canceled due to Hurricane Sandy last year, the race is back on in Middletown. Bicycle Hub of Marlboro is a sponsor.

After being canceled last year due to Hurricane Sandy, the Woods Hollow Classic Mountain Bike Race is returning to Tatum Park in Middletown on Saturday, Nov. 2. 

The weather forecast says we can expect partly sunny weather, with a high about 66. Sounds like an opportunity to burn off Halloween candy! 

It will be the 18th year of the competition organized by the Monmouth County Park System. 

Here are the race times:

9:00 a.m. – Sport Race 11.4 miles total (three loops)
10:30 a.m. – Kids Race Sponsored by Bicycle Hub of Marlboro – 1 mile loop (mostly level terrain)
10:45 a.m. – Beginner Race ages 20-39 – 7.8 miles total (two loops)
10:48 a.m. – Beginner Race all other ages
 
Registration will be available on site. The fee is $25 for Sport Class and Beginner Class; $15 for Kids Race.
