Portion of Tennent Road Closed After Lightning Strike

The lightning strike brought down trees and power lines.

Tennent Road is closed between Church Street and the Manalapan border due to a lightning strike that brought down trees and power lines. Please avoid the area. Police are on the scene. JCP&L crews are responding. 

If your home is without power, please report it to JCP&L at 1-888-LIGHTSS. Local residents, if there is no other way to access your home, please speak to the Officer on site for passage. For more information, please call the police non-emergency number at 732-536-0100.

UPDATE: Tennent Road was reopened before Wednesday morning rush hour.  An email was sent to residents registered to receive them.  Notification was also made via Facebook and Twitter. To receive Township notifications, please visit Marlboro-nj.gov and click the 'Communications for Residents' button to sign up for any or all communication options.
