Business Owner, Former Colts Neck Resident Dies at 58

John P. Mazza, 58, of Manalapan passed away at Robert Wood Johnson University Hospital, New Brunswick.  He was born and raised in Brooklyn, and had lived in Colts Neck prior to settling in Manalapan seven months ago. John was the owner of Mazza Electric Corp. in Manhattan. He was a member of St. Gabriel’s Church in Marlboro and St. Francis de Chantal of Wantagh, Long Island as well as a Fourth Degree Knight of Knights of Columbus Assembly 705 Nassau County and a member of the Knights of Columbus Englishtown Council 5903.

John is survived by his wife, Victoria Mazza; two sons, Daniel Mazza and his wife, Alison of Needham, MA and Christopher Mazza and his wife, Caroline of Hamilton; one grandson, Philip Mazza; his parents, Philip and Sadie Mazza of Freehold Township; one brother, Victor Mazza of Doylestown, PA and one sister, Camille Mazza of Middletown.

Visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Thursday from 2-4 p.m. and 7-9 p.m.  Relatives and friends are invited to gather at the funeral home on Friday at 9 a.m. for the procession to St. Robert Bellarmine Catholic Church, 61 Georgia Road, Freehold Township for his 10:00 AM Funeral Mass. Interment to follow in Maplewood Cemetery, Freehold.
