Constance Savetsky of Colts Neck Dies at Age 82

Savetsky was a devout Catholic and a former employee of Merck.

Constance E. Savetsky, 82, of Colts Neck, died on Sunday, Oct. 13, 2013 at the Reformed Church Home, Old Bridge. She was born in South Amboy. She was educated in the parochial school system of the Roman Catholic Church.

She was a devout adherent of the catholic faith. No matter where she was, in the United States or abroad, she faithfully attended Sunday Mass. She was devoted to her parents and siblings. When the family endured economic hardships she contributed financially to support it and was a source for stability in the household. She had a great love and attachment to her mother, Dorothy Ryan.

Throughout her life she never failed to express her concern for her mother's well being. Connie worked for 20 years for Merck, the pharmaceutical company. Her last position was that of executive secretary to the Director of Quality Control. She had an active and inquisitive intellect. She had a pleasant and equable disposition. Connie was liked by everyone who knew her. She was always helpful to those who were in need. The world would be a better place were more people to have the character and being that was Connie.

Surviving are her husband, Seymour Savetsky; and a brother, Thomas Ryan of Waretown.

Relatives and friends may call at the Higgins Memorial Home, 20 Center Street, Freehold, on Wednesday, Oct. 16, 2013 from 2 to 4 p.m. and 7 to 9 p.m. A Funeral Liturgy will be celebrated on Thursday at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Interment will follow at Monmouth Memorial Park, Tinton Falls.
