Deborah Ulikowski, 63, Dies

Ulikowski was a former mental health nurse at Marlboro State Psychiatric Hospital.

Deborah Elizabeth Ulikowski, 63, of Marlboro Township, passed away Saturday, Dec. 3.

Deborah was born in Great Barrington, Mass. but resided in the Robertsville section of Marlboro for most of her life. She was a graduate of Freehold Borough High School.

Deborah worked primarily as a mental health nurse at Marlboro State Hospital until its closing, and then at Discovery Institute in Marlboro as a substance abuse nurse. She also owned a tax consulting business for many years.

Debby was a wonderful, giving person who was always there for anyone who needed her. She was the one person everyone depended on for support and advice. Some people knew her as "Corvette Debby" because of her love of the car, and family came to know her as "Ha Ha" a nickname given to her by her first grandchild, but everyone,one knew her as Deb, the person who anyone could go to for anything. Her door was always open and her heart was always full of love to everyone she knew. She-will be greatly missed.

She was predeceased by her father, Gerald Bauman Jr. and her brother Gerald Bauman III.

She is survived by her two sons and daughter, Thornas and Joy Ulikowski of Freehold Township; Shawn and Davi Ulikowski of Mooresville, NC; Rian and Eric Nellon of Marlboro and Sayreville. Her rnother Elizabeth Bauman of Homestead FL; three siblings, Jeff Bauman; Lisa Brutkiewicz ; and Jenifer Bauman; and four grandchildren, Samantha Nelson, Kacey Nelson, Preston Ulikowski and Payton Ulikowski; and not to be forgotten, her beloved, friend and pet Murphy.

Family and friends are invited to visit frorn 4 p.m., on Wednesday,
Dec. 7 at the Freeman Funeral Home on 47 East Main Street in Freehold.

A funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. Thursday, Dec. 8 at the funeral horne. Internment will be private.
