Obituary: Anita (Castaneda) Pastoff of Morganville

Anita (Castaneda) Pastoff, 95, of Morganville, died Saturday, Dec. 28, at Bayshore Health Care Center, Holmdel.

Born in Fort Worth, Texas, she lived in Newark before moving to Morganville 25 years ago. Anita was a jeweler at Krementz in Newark, and a parishioner of St. Clement R.C. Church, Matawan.

Anita is predeceased by her beloved husband, Michael Pastoff; and her parents, Joseph and Maria Castaneda. She is survived by her loving children, Maria Montenegro and her husband, Hank, of Morganville, and Linda Capriglione and her husband, John, of Holmdel; along with three cherished grandchildren, Donna Capriglione, Michael Montenegro and his wife Kelly, and Lauren Montenegro. She will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved her.

Family and friends are invited Thursday, Jan. 2, from 4 to 8 p.m. at Day Funeral Home, 361 Maple Place, Keyport, N.J.  07735; and Friday, Jan. 3, at 9 a.m. at the funeral home, with a 10 a.m. Mass of Christian Burial at St. Clement R.C. Church, Matawan.  Entombment will follow at St. Gabriel Mausoleum, Marlboro.  In lieu of flowers, donations to the St. Jude Children’s Research Hospital, P.O.
