Obituary: Stephen J. Trombetta

Stephen J. Trombetta, 70, of Jackson  died Sunday, Dec. 22, at Hackensack University Medical Center. 

Steve was born, raised and had lived in Brooklyn until moving to Marlboro in 1983.  He then settled to Jackson in 2007.  Steve was an engineer for N.E.C., Lawrenceville, retiring in May.  He was a devoted NY Yankee and Giants fan, took pleasure in gardening and liked to listen to Doo-wop music.  Steve enjoyed the beach in Spring Lake but most of all loved spending time with his family.

He is survived by his wife of 41 years, Maria; a son, Jonathan Trombetta of Jackson; two daughters, Christina Stumpf and her husband, Jeremy, of Morganville and Juliette Trombetta of Ocean Township; a grandson, Aidan Stumpf; and a brother, Salvatore Trombetta of Fort Pierce, Fla.

A visitation will be held at the Clayton & McGirr Funeral Home, 100 Elton-Adelphia Road (Route 524), Freehold Township on Saturday, Dec. 28, from 4 to 7 p.m. with his funeral service to follow at 7 p.m. Interment will be private.   For those who desire memorial contribution may be made to The Leukemia & Lymphoma Society, Donor Services, P.O.
