Sarah Santonello, Former St. Mary's Parishioner, Dies at 90

Sarah T. Santonello, 90, of Colts Neck and Folly Beach, SC, passed away peacefully surrounded by her family on Sunday, Jan. 6, 2013.

Born in Jersey City, she moved to Colts Neck in 1972. Sarah was a parishioner of St. Mary's Church in Colts Neck, former volunteer with the Sisters of Charity, and was an avid supporter of The Arc of Monmouth County. She was a loving wife, mother, grandmother, and great grandmother.

Mrs. Santonello was predeceased by her husband Carmen in 2010, a brother and 4 sisters. Surviving is her son Brian and his wife Mona, three daughters, Carol and her husband Rick Lame, Sharyn Santel, and Bonnie and her husband Dr. Robert Satty, 7 grandchildren Dawn, Scott (Rachel), Christine, Brian Joseph, Timothy, Mark, and Beth, 2 great grandchildren Evan and Sarah, and two devoted caregivers and friends Nina Gedinidze and Tea Tavadze Kuznetsova.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be offered Wednesday, Jan. 9 at 9 a.m. at St. Mary's R.C. Church, 1 Phalanx Road, Colts Neck. Entombment Holmdel Cemetery, Holmdel. Arrangements are under the direction of the Holmdel Funeral Home.
