Jersey Shore Cancer Support Community Closing

For those of you who don't know the Jersey Shore Cancer Support Community on Hope Road in Eatontown will be closing their doors for good at the end of this month.

This place was my sanity when I was diagnosed the first time. I wrote about how wonderful the JSCSC's programs were in my book, Does This Outfit Make Me Look Bald? and I am heartbroken that they are unable to remain open. If they are not able to find a new home, many people will not have the chance to benefit from the resources the JSCSC provides. I often say, my doctors healed my body - the Jersey Shore Cancer Support Community healed my soul and allowed me to be the fierce, fly fighter I am today.

The woman who currently runs the center wants to open something new. She needs to prove to new investors and the local hospital that a center is needed. She is asking for an email to say "I support a new cancer center" - it's that simple! The more emails she gets the more likely that investors will be interested.
