Colts Neck Imposes Halloween Curfew

The township is enacting its traditional curfew for the days leading up to Halloween, and the holiday itself.

The Colts Neck Township Committee voted to impose a township-wide curfew for Halloween and the days leading up to it.

From Oct. 27 - Nov. 1, people under the age of 18 (residents and non-residents) have a curfew, and must be off of township streets from 9 p.m. to 5 a.m.

The township is also ramping up officers on duty, to ensure the safety of residents during Halloween celebrations.

Anyone under the age 17 must be accompanied by an adult, 23 or older, if out after curfew.

Minors found on the streets during curfew hours will be taken to the police station, where officers will call parents and have the minor picked up.
