Fire District Vote to Decide Commissioners and Budget

The vote will be held this Saturday at your local fire department.

Annual budget voting and Marlboro Township Fire Commissioner elections are this weekend. On Saturday, Feb. 18, the Marlboro fire districts will hold elections to pass their budget and to fill two open Fire Commissioner seats.

Polls will be open from 2 p.m. to 9 p.m. at the department in your fire district. You must be a registered voter to vote in this election. Marlboro Township has four fire departments:

Public notices for each district's budget have been published in the Asbury Park Press and can also be found through public notice websites or by calling your local department.

Not for anything, but these elections should be moved rather than have them in the middle of Winter. We are lucky we are having a mild one this year. And without going to the website I would not know anything about this election. No wonder turnout on this is even lower than than for the BOE in April.
