Building and Zoning Permit Fees Temporarily Waived in Marlboro Due to Sandy

Fees are waived in an attempt to lower costs for those with damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

The Marlboro Town Council voted on Monday night to temporarily waive buildng and zoning fees in the township for homeowners with damage caused by Hurricane Sandy.

Permits and inspections are still required, and homeowners must submit insurance or FEMA claims to prove damage and restoration is a result of the hurricane or the nor'easter.

In addition, permitting requirements for removal of trees that are dead or damaged as a result of Hurricane Sandy or the nor’easter will be waived through Feb. 1.

If you have already paid for permits, a proof of the claim filed along with a copy of the permit taken should be submitted to the appropriate department for reimbursement.
