Colts Neck Sets Up Comfort Stations

Residents without power can visit certain sites in the township to enjoy a little electricity.

Mayor Jim Schatzle announced the township will be setting up "comfort stations" to accommodate residents who are still without power.

This morning, Schatzle said most roads that were previously closed in the township are now open, and the big job is to restore power to the town.

"We're in pretty good shape," he said.

Stations will have showers available, but visitors must bring their own towels and toiletries.

Bottle water will also be provided, as will non-drinking water for use in toilets at home. However, visitors have to bring a container to transport non-drinking water.

Outlets will be available to charge cell phones as well.
