Marlboro Preserves 30 Acres of Open Space

Open land on Tennant Road has been preserved for $250,000, mayor says it is a win for taxpayers.

The township bought 30 acres of open space on Tennant Road for $250,000.

The property was undeveloped and will be used for recreation and open space for the town. A news release said the township preserved the space from being residential development, as it was originally listed for sale as a space for four units.

“We have protected yet another 30 acres from residential development,” Mayor Jon Hornik said in a new release. “This makes fiscal sense, and preserves the quality of life that we enjoy as Marlboro residents.”

The site is adjacent to the , and was once the site of an active farm.
