Marlboro's Doug Cross Honored for Open Space Design Work

Cross designed the Marlboro open space logo, which will mark all future preserved township open space.

If you've driven down Tennent Road in Morganville, odds are you have noticed the Open Space sign on the parcel of land .

The land is adjacent to the , and the sign was designed by Marlboro resident Doug Cross, a junior graphic design major at The College of New Jersey and an Eagle Scout.

Cross' father, Harry Cross, is a member of the Open Space Committee in Marlboro. Knowing of his talents, the committee asked Cross to design something which the township will use to mark preserved open space in the future.

In a proclamation read and dedicated to Cross at the May 16 Town Council meeting, Mayor Jon Hornik said Cross is a "great talent and resource" for Marlboro.
