Republicans Challenge Incumbents for Marlboro Council Spots

Robert Knight, Craig Marshall and Marielaina LaRosa will run against three incumbents for spots on the Marlboro Town Council.

The Marlboro Republican Club has chosen three candidates to go head-to-head with Marlboro Town Council incumbents this November.

Republicans Robert Knight, Craig Marshall and Marielaina LaRosa filed to challenge incumbents Jeff Cantor, Scott Metzger and Carol Mazzola this November.

Knight, President of the Marlboro Republican Club, has previously served on the township Zoning Board.

In 2011, Marshall ran against Mayor Jon Hornik, when the Republican ticket of three candidates lost to democratic incumbents.

Mazzola is a former Marlboro Republican Club, who switched parties early this year. Cantor switched parties in 2009, running as a Democrat after leaving the Marlboro Republican Club.

Patch will follow the local election all year, and will interview each candidate as November approaches.

Mr. M Unlike "Gun's" last failing campaign, can you tell us what he will do, other than pick up some sticks?

There seems to be an inconsistancy in the comment above: It begins "So it begins! the drivel of the misinformed and intellectually challenged." and it ends "let's hold of on the name calling and personal attacks" Please practice what you preach. This is an open forum.

Remember that photo op picture during Hurricane Irene? It showed Mr. Marshall convienantly wearing his campaign shirt--classic moment.

@ Marlboro Man relax and light up - I stand by what I said and there is no inconsistency in my statements. The point I was making is that we can express our thoughts about the candidates without defamatory statements like "plus a state employee are running a bunch of loosers". My first sentence is on point and so is my closing. @ Uncle Milty - I am not Mr. Marshall's campaign manager and cannot answer your question. Perhaps as I mentioned previously the incumbent administration would agree to a public debate then each of the candidates can share their ideas and plans on how they can make this town a better place to live. I am sure that you will also get other opportunities to ask him and the rest of the GOP candidates their thoughts on the current state of our town and their thoughts for change, but of course you will not be able to hide behind a pseudonym to ask that question.

The town's mismanagement? Perhaps you will elaborate?
