Phase two of the Station Road reconstruction will involve curbing, an upgrade of storm sewers and resurfacing.
The project becan in June 2010 with phase one, and now Marlboro Township plans to continue the project between Briarcliff Drive and Crine Road.
Residents have at Town Council meetings.
"Completing Phase II of the Station Road project which includes the area between Briarcliff Drive and Crine Road has remained a top priority in the Township's capital program," a township news release said.
Four drainage pipes under the road need to be determined in working condition and the right length before curbing and repaving can begin.
"If the pipes need to be improved or extended, they will be reconstructed in partnership with Monmouth County to improve drainage throughout the area," the release said.
A large amount of engineering work is being done in the area to complete the project, which could mean slowing traffic patterns in the coming weeks in that area.
The amount of work that needs to be done and the timeframe in which it is completed has not been determined yet, but all being considered apart of the township's capital improvement plans.
