Township Dedicates Tennent Road Land

The Open Space Committee preserved 30 acres of land on Tennent Road.

Last week, township officials dedicated a large piece of land on Tennent Road that was .

The space was purchased for $250,000 and will be preserved for open space and recreation.

“For less than $9,000 per acre, the Township has preserved 30 acres of undeveloped property for recreation and open space,” said Hornik. “This is a big win for the taxpayers of Marlboro.”

Before the township purchased the land, it was listed for sale for potential development of up to four residential houses.

“We have protected yet another 30 acres from residential development,” said Hornik. This makes fiscal sense, and preserves the quality of life that we enjoy as Marlboro residents.”
