In an attempt to keep up with the state 180 day school mandate, The Marlboro Township K-8 school district has made changes to its calendar after Hurricane Sandy caused the township to close for two weeks.
Any more inclement weather days which cause schools to close during the school year will be added on to the end of the calendar in June.
Changes to the schedule:
- 1/21 (Martin Luther King Jr. Day) - Full day session
- 2/15 and 2/18 (President's Day) - Full day sessions
- 4/1 (Spring recess) - Full day session
The district has also used its three allotted snow days during the state of emergency caused by the hurricane and nor'easter.
