Marlboro Boy Meets Obama After Plea for Gun Control

Maximo Gomez sent a plea to the president for gun control, which got him into The White House.

Sometimes, the simplest gesture can change your life. Just like it did for Defino Central Elementary School student Maximo Gomez, after he decided to write a letter to President Barack Obama.

Dear Mr. President,

I am 10 years old and live in Marlboro, NJ, and I am scared. Please, we need to change the constitution. We need gun control in America. I believe in you.

P.S. My bulldog says hi to Bo.

Gomez's plea got him into The White House on Jan. 16, the same day Obama and Vice President Joe Biden announced the most expansive gun control reform in the history of the United States.

Gomez met members of Congress, gun control advocates, Newtown residents and students from Virginia Tech during the memorable visit.
