Super Bowl Officials: We're Ready for New Jersey's Worst

Sleet, hail, rain or snow, the NY/NJ Super Bowl Host Committee and state Department of Transportation say they're ready for the nation's biggest sporting event next year with heavy machinery, an abundance of emergency responders and brine.

If New Jersey falls into a deep freeze during Super Bowl XLVIII in February 2014, officials say they're prepared, according to a report on NJ.com.

State transportation officials flexed their precautionary muscles in a presentation Wednesday outside MetLife Stadium: snow melters to eradicate any wintry accumulation, brine to de-ice the roads, utility workers for problem poles and DOT engineers for any issues with bridges.
