Marlboro Teen Up For CentraState Ball Queen Candidate

MacDonald, who is being supported by the Marlboro Fire Company, will spend her summer raising money for the CentraState Cancer Navigator Program.

Cailtin MacDonald, 18 of Marlboro, is in the running to become queen, for the annual CentraState Ball Queen charity compeition.

MacDonald, who is being supported by the , will spend her summer raising money for the CentraState Cancer Navigator Program. The contest benefits the hospital's program for cancer patients and their families. Every dollar MacDonald raises gets her closer to her goal of becoming Ball Queen.

In 1962, the community came together to raise funds to bring CentraState Hospital to the area. The event has been marked every year since with the annual Celebration Ball, where the Ball Queen will be crowned.

MacDonald will be holding several events throughout the summer and fall, with the help of the volunteers at the Marlboro Fire Company, in order to get closer to her goal.
