The Weekender: Pick and Choose What To Do
Happy New Year everyone!
Sure, 2014 is just a few hours old, but that doesn’t mean you haven’t started looking for something to do this weekend. Here are a few things you might be up for.
- On Saturday, Jan. 4, at 8 a.m., visit the Long Street Farm for Parent/Child Morning Chores. Milk a cow and collect eggs and learn what it was like to help raise farm animals. $15 per pair, $5 per additional person.
- On Saturday, Jan. 4, from 1 to 3 p.m., visit Deep Cut Gardens for the opening reception of a photography.
- On Saturday and Sunday, at 1 p.m., you can feed the turtles at the Manasquan reservoir Environmental Center.
- On Sunday, Jan. 5, from 121:30 to 4 p.m., visit the Thompson Park Creative Arts Center and make your own pottery. The cost is $6 per piece.
- The Colts Neck Township Committee will reorganize and select a new mayor on Saturday, Jan. 4, at 4 p.m.
- Visit St. Mary’s Church on Sunday, Jan. 5, from 1 to 4 p.m. for the Italian American Association’s “Pranzo with La Befana.” There will be pasta and meatballs, goody bags, a 50/50, Italian Music, games and more.
