Marlboro Country Club Invites Same Sex Couples to Marry on Grounds

Bella Vista is opening its doors to anyone looking to get married on the country club's grounds.

For Anthony Beshera, owner of Bella Vista Country Club in Marlboro, it isn't about the added profit. It's about opening his home to everyone.

On Oct. 21, same-sex couples around the state were married as the law extending marriage to everyone went into effect.

Bella Vista released a press release inviting same-sex couples to come to Bella Vista and celebrate marriage, just as so many couples have done at the club over the years.

Ceremonies have been performed all over New Jersey since the law passed. In Red Bank, Councilman Ed Zipprich and now husband JP Nicolaides tied the knot in Town Hall.

An Aberdeen couple almost missed the 12:01 a.m. historic deadline, but drove to Trenton to have a judge waive the waiting period after a township clerk didn't know what to do with the license.
