Sept. 11 Memorial Paver Project Still Open

Engraved bricks are still available to line the base of the Marlboro September 11 memorial.

Marlboro has a beautiful memorial standing tall to remember the victims of Sept. 11, 2001, especially the 14 Marlboro residents lost in the attack.

At the base of the memorial are engraved bricks bought by residents to fund the construction and maintenance of the memorial, which individually honors the 14 Marlboro residents and holds a beam from one tower.

The township is still selling engraved paver bricks for between $100 and $500. A 4x8 brick costs $100, an 8x8 costs $200, and four 8x8 bricks cost $500.

The bricks will create a paved visitor's area leading up to and around the memorial. Donors can choose a message to be written on the paver.

To purchase a brick, e-mail Jeff Cantor at cantor@optonline.net or visit the Marlboro Township website to download the application.
