Sun Shines at Hornik's First Invitational Softball Tournament

The rain broke for one day to let teams play for charity in Marlboro.

The first Mayor's Invitational Softball Tournament turned out to be a great success for Marlboro, even getting the weather to cooperate on Sunday.

The original tournament was scheduled for Saturday, but post-tropical storm Andrea had a different idea. But vlunteers hit the Union Hill Road fields to sweep and drain the fields in preperation for what will certainly become an annual event.

The all-day tournament raised money for Hurricane Sandy Relief and the Andrew Hegt Memorial Fund.
